No Heat

As in we have no heat and little warm water. Our boiler guys have been out three times and it works for a little while and then nada. So our house is rather chilly. They are coming back today with yet another part that is needed to get the oil to the burner. Now the dishwasher and the clothes washer are connected to the 2nd hot water heater, which runs on gas. Sometime this house totally confuses me.

Kitty politics have gone up a notch again. Fig is a little bigger and a little bolder and the older fellows are making it clear that they are not kitten toys. Vanillie is being the best about it but she takes it too far and he bats her down. She is also chewing shoes like a puppy.

Other than that, things have been moving along. It has been a bit of a rough week with a bunch of bad news on top of bad news but we will go on. Somehow we find a way.

I might get to see some college football today. I want to see the Ohio State University game.

Ah they have arrived to fix the heat. Fingers crossed.

I am grateful that the kitten hasn’t been flattened by one of the big cats.

And I'm grateful you guys haven't had to go all Day After Tomorrow to combat the cold. Though you guys'd know to burn the bookshelves first, not the books.

I never thought of kittens being chewers, too. Never had cats growing up. One dog, though, a yellow lab named Sophie, who we got when she was 2 and still very puppy-like. Yeah, a 60-pound puppy. *grins* We still have the damaged hardcovers she gnawed. (Mainly Tom Clancy.)

Arg, no heat, no hot water? This is bad, very bad. Sure hope they get this fixed for you guys.

Oh the lovely kitten stage. At least two of our cats were chewers of all things. Not a thing was safe in our household for a while there. It will pass. Just by little mouthy some toys to chew on. And the older cats will settle once kitty knows its place in the pack. Been through this much with our cats here.

Hope whatever else is going on will be ok.

I'd gladly trade you; I'm living in a (university owned/operated) apartment in Michigan and it is 80+ degrees inside with the heat off and the window wide open.

Cats usually work it out, even it means they each work out their little "territories" of the house. I hope they figure out how to get along!

No heat, no hot water? That's bad.

Our heat's still a little iffy; the space heater in the living room is running intermittently to keep that room warm enough for habitation.

I hope you get your boiler problem solved soon.

I hope your heat got fixed for good.

I've never heard of a kitten chewing shoes. That is almost funny except it's not. Grins.
