I have been reading, or rather trying to read because my glasses are missing, a number of articles on clutter both mental and physical and ways to counteract that.
One thing that keeps coming up in these articles or is jumping out at me is the need vs. want and how we tend to make wants into needs that really don’t need to be there.
So I have been trying to switch in my brain some of those things.
I need to make sure Peter takes his various meds on time. Those are saving his life right now.
I want to show in the art show at Shoreleave but I don’t need to do it.
I need to make sure that Caroline has clean clothes to wear each day.
I want to make her the costume she wants to do at Shoreleave and probably again at Dragon*Con maybe stretching into Halloween. It is a rather clever idea.
I need to make sure that the cats are taken care of.
I want to do the Art Show at Dragon*Con.
I need to make sure we have edible food in the house.
I want to do the puppet slam at Dragon*Con.
I need my muse to stopping being on vacation so my clever brain will start to work again.
I want to be creative in a meaningful way again.
I am grateful that I do have resources to get back the creative.
