Rain Makes Snow Slush
Feb. 11th, 2013 08:59 amAt least it looks like the piles are reducing at this time. My bigger concern is the refreeze and the weight of the snow as the water adds to it.
Yesterday was quiet with the exception of taking Gwen to the Ronkonkama Station. That was a white knuckle ride I never hope to repeat again in my lifetime. It was a combination of snow on ice and abandon cars. Ours almost got stuck but some really good people stopped what they were doing and got us out of our predicament.
Today there are a couple of visits that must be done and some errands that needs to be run. We are starting adjusting to this new life.
Peter is pretty much able to get around the house. There are a few things we need to move or change but he can live here safely.
I am grateful for any reduction in snow.
