Getting Ready for United Fan Con

Getting ready for a convention takes some time. It takes more time when you are driving, a guest at the convention, have a young child, or doing a costume. No costume this round but I do plan to bring a couple of puppets to play around with. Since Miss Caroline is such a picky eater, I have to pack some stuff to make sure that she does eat. Then there is the list of stuff I make so we don't forget something. It is inevitable that we will forget something but I try to make it a minor thing rather than a major thing. Really I try to make it nothing but recently it has been little things rather than quick we have to drive back.

I can't believe that it is less than 2 weeks to Thanksgiving. We made our car reservations for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and glad that we did. We got the last car for the Thanksgiving trip and close to the last car for the Christmas trip. Ah holidays when things disappear quickly. It is a little over 4 weeks to Caroline's Birthday. Between that and Hanukkah, December is rather crowded. This year Hanukkah starts at sundown on Christmas Day.

I am looking forward to this weekend. It will be nice to see my in-laws and their kids. I hope Caroline is going to have fun too. She tends to take these things in stride especially travel and hotels.

I am grateful for new conventions to explore.
