Dear Peter,
It has been four years now since we walked down the aisle. A lot has happened in the intervening time including Caroline. First I want to say (well write) I love you. I love you more and more each day. You are eminently loveable.
I am thankful that I am your wife. A more supportive partner I could not find. You are there for me in good times and bad. You take care of me when I am not feeling well and help me to feel better. You encourage me to pursue things I am interested in like the Puppetry Class which is a blast and a half and Wendy’s doll making class which has been invaluable to me. You have helped me with the job search which hasn’t been easy or fun. You help me to grow to be a better person. I will always be grateful to you and count my blessings that you are in my life.
You have given me a new group of people to be friends with. I have enjoyed getting to know the people you know. We also have our mutual before friends (people we were both friends with before we hooked up) who are very happy that we are together.
You brought Shana, Gwen!, and Ariel into my life. You have given me three terrific stepdaughters who have become a part of my life and of me. Each has their talents and gifts that they are still exploring and growing. I enjoy my time with them. You have introduced me to the rest of your family who are really great people. I enjoy being Michael, Matthew, Sara, and Emma’s Aunt. I enjoy spending time with your folks and your siblings.
Then there is Caroline. There would be no Caroline without you. I am thankful every day for her. She is a blessing in so many ways. No she is not a saint and I know that. I am thankful for your guidance in raising her. I can’t even count the number of Doctor’s visits we have avoided because you know when she is just warm and really running a fever. I am getting better at it but still you are the champ on that account. I love seeing the joy in her face and yours when she sees you in the morning. I love when you lull her to sleep on “the lap of nappiness.” She feels safe and secure there. You are such a good father. You love and care for all your children with such passion.
I am so very grateful that you are my husband.
Love your Wife-
Kathleen
