I don’t sleep well or rather it seems to be all or nothing or little for me.

A good night sleep for me these days is waking up a number of times and being able to get right back to sleep rather than being awake for an hour or two before going back to sleep for a bit.

I do dream rather lucidly and remember chunks of them.

Last night was a good night once I finally got to sleep which was rather late but only a couple of times did I wake up.

I am very lucky that Caroline is old enough that she can get herself up and off to school without me overseeing her.

The past couple of days haven’t been the best for sleep so last night was nice.

I woke up and do not feel like I am in a brain fog which will allow me get things done.

So that’s what I am going to do today.

I am grateful for the sleep I get.

I've pretty much resigned myself to waking up periodically and falling back asleep in the course of my nightly slumber. I was helped by an online course called CBT for Insomnia, which helped me realize that I was getting more sleep than I was giving myself credit for and that I was going to bed earlier than I needed to.

I'm also a fan of naps, though I know that isn't practical for everyone.

That's my usual pattern, except that it takes me an hour plus to fall asleep in the first place.
