Happy Halloween or Samhain or Whatever you celebrate on this day. We are expecting that we will start seeing kiddies probably around noon and way into the night. Caroline’s costume is done. Ariel’s needs a few tweaks and it will be done. I will post pictures either later today or tomorrow. We still have some pretty big pumpkins to carve but it is such a nice day outside that we will be able to do it on the table on the back porch. I have a few errands to run to get the last pieces of the puzzle in place. Then I want to finish the doll I have had pending since September so I can get it off to the person I am swapping with. Then a special project that is a bit over due and some vampire detectives. That should take me to about Dec 1st. After that we have Caroline’s birthday party and various holidays.
Wish me luck tomorrow. I am auditioning to be a contestant on “Who wants to be a Millionaire” the daytime edition. Haven’t a clue if I am going to get it but I can at least try for a spot.
I did the Dance of Joy in the kitchen yesterday as I made hollandaise according to my mother’s recipe. This is something that can go wrong at so many stages of the cooking but I pulled it off. The bonus was that it did taste like my mother’s hollandaise which is the one I hold all others to. Next Béarnaise.
We bought the Charlie Brown Holiday Special box set and watched "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" last night. That one holds up very well over time. I had forgotten some of the pieces of it that hardly ever see air any more.
I am grateful that I can cook really cook.
