Monkey Business

puppetmakerCaroline’s Halloween Costume is finished! She will be the cutest Boots the Monkey on Long Island if not the World. I needed to have it done today because today we go to the Mommy and Me Halloween Party. It turned out pretty well. I will take pictures and try to post them shortly. Yes, I know I have been promising pictures for a while and some family members I think have given up on me but I will do it this time.
I have a sinking feeling unless there is such a landslide that there is no question who won, the presidential election is going to be tied up in the courts for a while. Since the last presidential election where it came down to a very narrow margin, Congress enacted legislation which allows for what is called provisional balloting after a couple of 1000 votes were voided in Florida and should not have been. The law is very vague and leads to a lot of interpretation. This has lead to a number of challenges and lawsuits before the election. There are also the paperless electronic balloting machines which can be tampered with and there will be no record of the tampering. They might have it sorted out by January but I am not holding my breath.
I think the Cardinals are going to win tonight. They are a good team and will be at home. Even if the Soxs win, I don’t think they will let it go to their heads since they came back from 3 and 0 deficit to win the AL pennant.
Next up on my list is that doll that has been haunting me for a while and decorating the house for Halloween.
