the House Gremlins

It is amazing to me how fast something can vanish around here. I firmly believe we have a couple of house gremlins and I am not talking our four footed furry friends who walk off with hair ties and other small objects that they find interesting.

Caroline and I have an agreement that library books when finished go back into the library bag (a cloth bag we use to bring books back and forth from the library). No, she is not perfect but she does pretty well at getting the books back in the bag. I got my e-mail from the library about the books that were going to be due in a few days. This included book 8 in the Captain Underpants books entitled Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People which has vanished off the face of the earth. We have looked in all the usual places and all the unusual places. She didn’t take it to school. I know it is around here somewhere I just need to find it.

I have been keeping the medical paperwork in one place. And there is a letter that was in the file that has disappeared from the file. This is a letter I need to answer yet another form that needs to be filled out. I need a bulletin board and a larger calendar.

Tai Chi this morning was hard but it did help the neck a bit. I am just a very tightly wound person and smooth movement is not in my nature. Except when I am operating a puppet. Then it all makes sense and I move very smoothly. Yep, I am a riddle wrapped in an enigma dipped in chocolate and covered sprinkles.

Dealing with a clothes washer that has picked up a little problem that needs a part or two to solve. Life continues.

Hugs your loved ones or call them up and tell them that you love them. Life can change in the blink of an eye. Nothing dire just some more 2013 rump biting.

I am grateful for gremlins that put things back.

My mom always told us it helps to ask for them to put things back. It sounds silly, but there have been times when I was exasperated, unable to find something, and then I said aloud, "Please put my keys back" and found it within minutes!
