Greg the Bunny

The great thing about the DVD revolution is that the companies have to find product to produce to sell to the consumer. Old TV shows that never made it onto videotape are showing up on DVD. Even more interesting are the newer shows that had short runs and were cancelled before their time are showing up on DVD. In some cases the DVD sales have been strong enough to bring the show back in one form or another. There is going to be a new season of Family Guy because of the strong DVD sales. Joss was able to produce Serenity a movie based on his TV series Firefly.

Add to this now a very funny show which had a very short run called Greg the Bunny. It starred Seth Green after he left Buffy as a runner on a popular children’s puppet show called “Sweet Knuckle Junction”. The twist is that the puppets have lives outside the show. Greg the Bunny is Seth’s roommate. There are puppets that think doing a children’s show is beneath them and want perform Shakespeare. It was a very twisted world that they created that had too short a time and the magic moving time slot to find its audience. I think the magic moving time slot had killed more shows than it had saved.

I turned off the game about half way through the 8th inning and went to sleep.19 to 8! They didn’t even try. I feel for any fan of the Red Soxs right now. After everything they went through during the season this is just so upsetting. I mean the cry of wait until next year has almost no meaning in Boston anymore. They get to this point and then fold like a house of cards because of the Yankees.

I am grateful every morning I wake up.

I loved Greg the Bunny. I only managed to watch it 5 times, and twice it was episodes I saw before. LOL

Yes, a time slot shift would kill it. As it has done multiple other times.
