Greetings from Pienza

Hi there. I have wifi at the B&B that we are staying at. I also am typing this on my iPad so spelling and word substitution is probably going to happen.

I am putting photos behind a cut (I hope). I will add descriptors when I get back to the states.

We have been here three days now and are adjusted to the local time.

There is a serious heat wave right now and we are in the 90s which is unusual for Pienza.

Tomorrow we are going to Firenza aka Florence so I can show Caroline the Dumo and some other places I like there.

It has been very nice and relaxing which a vacation should be.

I am grateful we made this journey to Italy.

Ah, Italy. I had such a lovely time when I went there with a large group of friends & former co-workers. I had gelato every day, I think (sometimes twice in a day). A former student (and niece to one of our party) lived (and still lives) in Florence and we got to see her again. I fell in love with the swimming pool at the villa we stayed in while in Tuscany. :-)

Hope your trip continues to be fun and full of nifty things to see & do! And keep cool! (I was missing A/C when we were there - hellishly hot in the 4th floor room my friend and I stayed in.)

It's been bloody hot here, too, although they're no longer predicting 100 degrees here in LB on the Fourth.

I so wish. But not this year, sadly :( Eventually we are going to get back in the same room XD

Is DragonCon still a consistent thing for you or no? Thinking about that and a few other long-missed events to go back and revisit. Love my anime cons, but I also love variety and I think D does too :)
