Spur of the Moment visit to NYC

We were figuring out today and decided last night that maybe a visit into the city is in order. No real plans just some places we would like to visit and some stuff we would like to do. On our to-do list is to go to the children’s section of the New York Public Library.

Then we have a number of museums and places we could go. The city has plenty to do we just have to figure out what we want to do.

The funny thing is that there are places in New York City that I remember as a child that when I pass by them, I can see it through both the lens of now and then. It is an interesting sensation. I enjoy showing them to Caroline.

I am grateful for living so close to New York City.

This and a conversation I'm having with bonnie_rocks are making me crave another New York City visit. I got to visit for three days in March 1992 (with snow during the trip) for a high school journalism seminar. Just to wander and to see family and friends. (A cousin who works for a bank lives near Times Square, and I have friends and acquaintances in maybe all five boroughs. Potential crash space!)
