We're back and, although travel weary, in pretty good shape.

More either later tonight or tomorrow.

I am grateful that we got home as smoothly as we did considering there was almost a riot at the airport.

We were flying Southwestern which has this early bird check in that costs about 20 bucks per ticket but is so worth it since the seating is first come, first serve.
Southwest boards the following way
Blue Sleeve tickets which have medical papers attached to it.
Then
A 1-30
A 31-60
Family Boarding This is the important part
B 1-30
B 31-60
C 1-30
C 31-60
We had positions A28, A29, A30 for the trip
They had a large group of wheelchairs patrons and one child who was wheelchair bound (cererbral palsy by the look of it. The kid was interacting with the mother and father while waiting for the plane. They were playing some board game.)
So they load the wheelchair passengers and the child first. Behind them were a number of families that were to board between group A and group B.
The next passengers were a family of four with a smaller child but the kids had been running around like banshees so nothign wrong with them. The mother basically brow beat the person boarding the plane to let her and her children on because "that was the way it was SUPPOSE to be done" not the way it was on Southwest. Other families figured this was their in but it was shut down by the person at the podium. So they were being pushy about being not allowed to board when they wanted since the airline let that family on.
Meanwhile parents and others who had shelled out the 20 bucks to get on with the A group were not happy. There was rumbling and rustling from the people who should be boarding.
THEN a elderly guy was just STAND There and won't let anyone past him believing that since he got there first, he should be on first. His wife got him out of there before the people behind him starting throwing choice words at him.
By this time the crowds was not happy.

Also with Southwest, you can't save seats. Which several people tried to do with large packages and the like and the crew had to get them to move those since it was a full plane and the seat could not be held. So we had a second set of rumblings.

I had the great good fortune to have a very nice lady who sat in front of me and did Sudoku the flight up and DIDN'T put her seat back for which my knees are grateful.
