Dream a little Dream

I have been having a lot of really weird dreams recently. I wake up in the middle of the night and think “Boy that was a strange dream. Might want to remember that.” and then go back to sleep. I wake up in the morning knowing that I have had a series of odd dreams but only an image or two has stuck in my head. I have been sleeping pretty well over all which is good for me. I had recently gone through a period of waking up between 2 and 4 and not being able to get back to sleep for over an hour. Sometimes I can hear Caroline on the baby monitor and that wakes me up briefly. Once I know she is OK, I can get back to sleep.

The Olympics have been a very mixed bag. I have enjoyed to competition but am about ready to strangle the commentators. I also want to have a serious talk with who ever came up with doing all the profiles of the athletes to the point where I now want this person to lose. I know this didn’t start with these Olympics but still. I haven’t been too happy with the evening highlight shows overall. I have had been feelings about the broadcasts during the day. It may have something to do with the fact that by the evening, the events in Athens are over so they can do glorified clip shows. Silver medal in Men’s Gymnastics isn’t too shabby. Personally I find Thorpe easier to listen to than Phelps. I do think that Phelps has the right attitude considering all the hype he has had to carry. He wanted one gold medal. He got it and now he is doing his best and having fun.

I have a goblin running around in my head. This happens when I can see a puppet in my minds eye and have a big itch to bring it into the real world. This little guy has been hiding in the corners of my mind but has been showing up more front and center recently. Which means it is time to start construction him. I am hoping to have him finished by D’Con.

I am grateful that I can call myself a Puppeteer and know that I can do so without any doubt or uncertainty.

Didn't bother really looking at the panel thing, because I heard that panelists don't get in for free. *wry smile* I'll see about doing a dinner or something so that I can meet all of my out-of-town LJfriends who are attending the con...

Yep early to mid 90s then I passed it off onto Bill Harrison who still threatens to kill me every DragonCon.

Thanks. That is really how it happens when it comes to the usual looking ones. They hide in the corners of my mind until they really want to see the rest of the world. Puppets are funny that way.
