My mother has among her cook books a copy of the Mastering the Art of the French Cooking which is not in mint condition. It is a well used cookbook. I can remember as a child watching “The French Chef” with my mother on PBS. When I was a child I thought Julia Child was french or possibly english. She was an American who learned to cook in France. Julia Child taught an entire generation to cook in a European manner and not be scared of it. She lived a full life with lots of good conversation and food. Julia Child passed away almost at the age of 92. I will always remember her voice and her passion for making fine food. Here to the Real Iron Chef. As a tribute I am going to cook a french meal for the family.
