I-Con 2010 is back in its old haunts of Stony Brook University and Peter, Caroline and I will be attending. I think we will be there this evening and Saturday during the day. After that it will depend on my foot and Caroline’s mood. Saturday evening we will be at Babylon Lanes for the Pro-Am 7:00pm squad that Peter is going to bowl on. We will be in the stands cheering him on.

Foot was over worked yesterday. I know what I did and how I did it but at least it snapped back rather quickly. I just have to avoid the same problem today considering how much walking I am looking at for tomorrow.

I want to make fabric like they did on Project Runway. That is so cool and would help me a lot with costuming. I am betting the cost is exorbitant but I am betting that the cost is going to go down over time. And it is nice that one can get a small amount of fabric in a print that you need rather than going all over the Internet or fabric stores looking for just that fabric. I am doing this on a very small scale with an inkjet printer but I never thought of it on this scale.

I have to continue work on my dragon egg for a swap. It was due today but I wrote my partner and the swap mommy explaining my problem with the foot. I know what I want to do with the dragon and I have the egg a ways along so I am not worried. In a week I’ll be at the Wendy Froud dollmaking workshop. So I need to get my supplies together and bring some extra for the class.

Not much else going on. It may snow today with the rain. All I know is that the temperature is about 20 degrees lower than it was at the high yesterday.

I am grateful for any walking I can do today without too much pain so I can get things done.

There are a lot of places out there. It looks like your price is going to be in the $15-30 range, which once you pay your salary trying to find the exact print isn't all that bad.

On a slightly different note, did you get a PM here from me?

I had a weird idea yesterday that seems right up your alley! Remember the Holly Hobbie dolls (http://www.dollkind.com/images/hobbie1.gif) that used to be popular a while back? Well, I was thinking about if someone made her a leather-like motorcycle outfit (it could even have a touch of patchwork on it), she could be Harley Hobbie, LOL.

Er, anyway, just thought I'd share the love!

Maybe we'll see each other there on Saturday. I'll have my cell with me if we don't run into each other naturally.

Kathleen, have you considered an orthotic for your feet? I had, but didn't have the $$ (no insurance) for the investigation - but I saw one of those Dr. Scholl's foot-mapping machines at Meijer and tried it - bought the set it recommended - and WOW! What a difference in my feet and back (ruptured disk down low. I just bought my 2nd set.

Just a thought...
