So much for this snow

It didn’t start snowing until 8:00 am and most of it is just blowing around in the wind. A dusting is a generous term for what this is. Thank goodness Farpoint is NEXT weekend because they got dumped on. I remember the 2003 Farpoint (Caroline’s first convention) very well.

So today is about keeping warm and indoors. Tomorrow will probably be the same but with a Superbowl to watch in the evening.

Trying to walk evenly but not succeeding much. I am favoring my hurting heel and I know that I really should avoid doing that.

Off to get something done in this grey dreary day. Hope everyone is OK and if you are shoveling snow, then remember to lift with your knees not your back.

More like still getting dumped on. The snow changed over to very fine snow overnight, and now it's gone back to the monster flakes. I'd estimate that we've had three feet fall on Baltimore in the last twenty-four hours.

There's still going to be a lot on the ground in Charm City next weekend. Snow is in the forecast Tuesday through Thursday. The long-range forecast has rain next weekend.

Yeah, and I just heard the weather guy on MSNBC suggesting that this may top Snowpoint's total.

I think it will. I'd estimate I have somewhere between 42 and 48 inches on the ground.

J and I cancelled our lunch out today (had to make a decision Thursday evening, and things were too uncertain at that point), and I'm not exactly sorry. The wind has scoured the top of my car clean, but the sides are snowy. No more than an inch or so on the ground, it looks like (I haven't been out yet to investigate), but more coming down--and blowing all around. I'll go clean my car off later, but I don't have to go anywhere before Monday.
