Caroline takes another step up

Today if all goes well and the creek don’t rise, Caroline’s big girl bed will arrive and be assembled by the nice people who sold it to us. Tonight Caroline gets to sleep in her big girl bed which she has been looking forward to since we ordered it about a month ago. Yes, there will be pictures of the bed. It is not a bunk bed but it is a loft bed.

I didn’t get anything craft done except with Caroline and her homework which had a craft component to it so I am counting that. I wanted to do more but yesterday got swallowed up by various things including a doctor’s appointment that basically told me what I already figured out but was glad to get a conformation on. I’m fine and that is the last of that issue.

So this morning consists of re-cleaning Caroline’s room and removing her toddler bed from the room. The end of a phase in her young life. Her toddler bed was converted from her crib. I bought it with my baby bonus from Random House. If I had known then what I know now, I would have still probably bought the bed. It is a really good bed.

I am grateful that we are getting Caroline her big girl bed.

Excellent! We have bought the little girl a big-girl bed as well, for her birthday (next week!)--she doesn't know it yet, though. We'll have to find a way to set it up on the sly. It's a captain's bed, so nice and solid and with drawer space.
