I am going to allow spoilers in the comment section of this so I am going to be very general in my comments here.

I thought it was painful to watch but very well written and directed. I can now go and read everyone’s reaction. I did know a little going in but I am glad I didn’t know everything because it was a gut punch when I got to the end.

It was the best of the three seasons to me. The format made them concentrate more on just one story and the characters acting and reacting to each other and the situation.

I need to think a little more about what I have seen but my gut reaction is I thought it was brilliant but painful to watch.

I am grateful I wasn’t too spoiled before I saw it.

I haven't watched it yet. I've picked up bits and pieces as to what happens...now I'm not quite sure if I ever want to see it. I probably will someday, though.

I felt the same way but was glad I watched it. It really is a good show.

A punch to the gut sums it up pretty nicely.

I've been known to cry when watching movies and TV shows, but I don't remember the last time I cried that much. It was a great story and the emotional aspect was really powerful.

I feel the same way. But I told my husband that I wished it had been a Doctor Who episode because none of the really bad stuff would have happened.

I don't think I'll ever want to watch it again, though.

I don't know about anyone else, but I kept wondering what Sarah Jane was doing during all of this. Surely Luke, Clyde, The Rani, and all the others weren't immune.

Actually, where was everyone? Mickey would have come in, fists blazing. Martha would have called the Doctor in, no question. And the one-liner about her being on her honeymoon? Yeah, this affected the entire planet. No matter where she is, it was happening there, too.

This isn't an unconnected series. What happens in one affects all the others. It seems like they forgot that, and instead just set out to tell a damned good story without thinking of the consequences on the other series.

I thought it was a very scary story. The thing for me was the pacing.. things kind of built on each other.. but because they showed it in 5 nights.. I felt the pacing was kind of off.

the way they left things.. I wonder what is going to happen next season.. if there is a next season. Jack really sacrificed alot and the pain of losing everyone must be overwhelming. I get the same sense that the doctor has also transformed.. and feels very much the same.

I already put all my thoughts here - http://lilia2000.livejournal.com/296446.html

But overall, my thoughts were that I liked it. I thought it was pretty amazing. As a friend of mine said, "horrific and brilliant". I HATED that they killd Ianto as he was one of my favorite characters. I felt that was uneccesary. But I did like pregnant Gwen. :-) Though I'm a Jack/Gwen shipper all the way.

It was a very emotional episode. Especially the last one which started off with Gwen talking about the Doctor. That had me in tears. And of course when Jack had to sacrifice his grandson. :-(

I wonder if there will be any more? I sure hope so.
