If all goes as planned, Caroline will be having some of her local friends over this afternoon for a showing of “Bolt” which the girls are excited about. I am going to be making the living room acceptable today for visitors.
This weekend is LunaCon and I am getting ready a few things for that show. I have an idea that I want to see if I can execute before the convention. I’m thinking paper clay but I might use polymer clay if I can’t get the look I want.
Signs of spring are starting to pop up in the yard. The crocuses’ leaves are poking out of the ground and the daffodils are as well. It is nice to see that we are heading for spring.
How many contracts do you think are going to come out of the world baseball classic? There are a lot of scouts watching what is going on. After it is all done there will be signed players that will be hurt and need to be replaced. I wonder how many players signed up for this in hopes of landing a major league contract in one of the many baseball leagues around the world. I don’t think Japan is going to repeat this year. Their team is not as strong as it was last time.
Then there is March Madness in the NCAA which announced the brackets for the tourney. I am surprised the UConn was still number one after what happened with the 6 overtimes. I think Alabama State is going to round out the brackets. Many fewer Cinderella teams than before. I have no idea how they come up with the ins and outs but this year they seem to be going for the teams that showed they had it in them to play this tourney rather than coasting on a name and a tradition which is nice.
I am grateful for signs of spring in my yard.

Date: 2009-03-16 03:44 pm (UTC)Let us know how Bolt goes over with the Kindergarten set. I think our kids would like it, too, but like to hear from others before a screening.
I am looking forward to seeing you at Lunacon! :)
