Yesterday was busy with setting up Peter’s new computer with all the software and making sure that the hardware was compatible. His previous computer had gotten to the point of no return so we looked at what was out there and what he needed and he has joined the Mac side of the force. We still have one big question mark about his printer but I think it will work once we get the correct cable. Now I have to transfer the data from my laptop to his computer and he’ll have all the files from the previous computer on his new iMac. Thank goodness for portable hard drives. When I think about what you use to have to do to back something up, I am amazed at how easy it is now.

Today I put together about 20 simple hand puppet bodies. Nothing really complicated but they needed to be done for the puppet club that meets at Caroline’s school. I wanted to get them done today so that the teacher has the weekend to attach the bodies to the heads since the club meets on Monday.

Today was also Caroline’s Daisy Scout troop meeting. She is a third generation girl scout as both her mother and her grandmother were in scouting. She wants to go camping like Mom did and we may do an overnight towards the end of school at the local girl scout camp with the girls. I am serving as an assistant leader to the troop and having fun with that.

I have a couple of things that I want to get to this weekend. I think Sunday, if the weather is nice, we are going to take the girls to the aquarium just to do a family outing that doesn’t involve a convention. We have a season pass for it.

It will be nice to have a quiet weekend at home since the next couple of weeks involve travel for one or more members of the family. March looks pretty busy for us.

I also need to get some stuff done for various challenges and art shows that are coming up in the next month. I think it is list time but first I must make Mac and Cheese for Dinner.

I am grateful I got as much as I did yesterday and today.

OK that one took me a minute to get. I think I need more sleep. But well played indeed.

Right with you about hard drive recovery. The fine folks of the Best Buy Geek Squad were able to recover everything on my old machine after the motherboard gave up the ghost.

Oddly enough, though, they weren't able to do anything for my wife's machine when her drive started croaking...but a techie co-worker took it and was able to recover just about everything.

It still freaks me out to see this tiny little flash drive and realize it holds about 8 gig. :)

I know. We got an entire Hasbro catalog on a flash drive that was hidden in a GI Joe dog tag. It was amazing.

Enjoy the Aquarium? Are you going to the one by Coney Island? If so, take pictures before it's all packed up and put away?

We were going out to Riverhead to the Atlantis Aquarium.

What is going on with the Coney Island Aquarium?
