And boy howdy is this going to be random.
I am putting it behind the cut because this is going to get long.
I am grateful for my iPhone which did making the convention easier to navigate.
I was there Saturday and Sunday. Peter was there Friday and Sunday.
Ariel's bowling team won their county match and are onto the State match in March.
Peter was there with Ariel on Saturday to support her. Her sister Gwen was there as well.
Caroline and I were at the Convention while this was all happening. My iPhone was kicking in and out the whole time. This was frustrating for Peter who was trying to get in touch with me to tell me that they won.
Caroline fell asleep during the train ride in and I had a heck of a time getting her back to consciousness. Once she was awake we just got off the train before the doors closed.
Caroline enjoyed her first taxi ride. She had fun looking at all the tall buildings.
Mark and Lisa Brooks are good people. They were so helpful to us by watching the table when we had to step away. We did the same for them. Mark is an amazing artist and his next project is with Paul Cornell is called Dark Reign: Young Avengers. He had some sketches of the characters that were really neat.
It was great to see Paul and his lovely wife Caroline again even though it was only briefly. They seemed to be having fun at the convention.
I would like to thank Elle for all her help both Saturday and Sunday. She got an autograph for me, water for Caroline, and was a lot of fun to talk to.
I got a lot of hugs this weekend which was very nice.
Sometimes it was surreal to me that people I had admired for years are now friends. It was neat to have people seek me out. I got to talk briefly to Marv Wolfman, George Perez, Even Dorkin, Jill Thompson, Colleen Doran, and Bob Burden among others. Bob and I were trying to figure out how long we had known each other and stopped when the number just got too high for our comfort.
It was neat to meet Amber Benson and Scott Adsit (creator of Moral Orel and on 30 Rock).
I got a lot of compliments on my puppets. I sold one to Mark and Lisa. Next time I need to have a sign that the puppets are for sale because people were surprised to find out that they were for sale. The word I kept hearing that made me smile inside was people telling how professionally made they looked. Yes folks, I am a professional puppetmaker and it was nice to have others recognize it.
I was happy that people came by on Saturday just to tell me that they read my web log. They knew Peter wasn't going to be there but they wanted to meet me.
Caroline made 25 dollars by selling drawings at the convention. She was very happy to do so. Some people have a drawing from 2008 and 2009 and they told her how much her art was improving. They also complimented her signature this year because she wasn't signing her name last year.
A lot of people came by to tell Peter about how they felt about X-Factor 39.
Overall it was a good convention. I was very tired Sunday but then I didn't get much sleep due to a number of things and my eating of meals was very off. I got a good nights sleep last night and feel much more human.
Today is all about the cleaning up from the convention and getting ready for the next one this coming weekend and then we have Toy Fair. Busy couple of weeks for us.
So thank you to everyone I met and to my old friends and to my new ones.

How can I be in a room with so many people I like and not see them all?
*sigh*
Ignore the thousands of others...I'm supposed to sense these things. :D
