They have snow in Las Vegas and we have more Rain?!?!?!

What is up with the weather?!?!?! (First person who says Global Warming gets thwapped.)

I am reading Peter’s new Star Trek: New Frontier called Treason since we got in the first pass pages for the book. My life is so cool at times.

We are also going to be seeing a lot of movies once the TV season switched into reruns with is the week. Because Peter is a member of the WGA, we are getting a lot of screeners from various movie studios that they are pushing for the Academy awards and the WGA screenwriting awards. If it plays out like it usually does, we’ll have all the nominated movies for best picture by the time they announce them. Again the cool factor of my life shows itself to me.

We have been getting various forms of Holiday Cards from our friends and family. Sometimes one comes in and I just have to stop and geek out a little. We are getting cards from people I have admired for years that I can now call friend. Then there are the phone calls that come through from people who I knew of long before they knew who I was. Again my inner geek does a happy dance.

I don’t have the perfect life, but I do have a good life with good family and friends. I know I am lucky of how my life turned out so far. I can look back at all the things that had to happen for me to be sitting here typing on this laptop writing my web log and it amazes me that I am doing just that.

I am blessed and I am very grateful for that.

Here's another wacky weather occurrence: Yesterday Chicago was COLDER than BARROW ALASKA by 15 degrees. Apparently this is the 4th coldest December on record for Chicago, and we're barely halfway through. Hopefully January will throw us a curveball and be a bit warmer!

I would like Canada to take back their weather now please!

It's actually due to get cooler tonight and the rain turns to sleet.

You'll probably get some of that at some point. But for now, it is unseasonably warm.

I almost feel like grilling.

But I pretty much feel that way all the time so it might not be the warmth.

Imzadi changed my life. No, seriously. The girl I wrote the love letter to for the You're So Vain topic introduced me to STNG books with the words 'the only ones worth reading are the ones by Peter David.' We must have written 25 bad poems after reading Imzadi to each other.
