What I am Thankful For 2008 edition

With Thanksgiving looming on the horizon, I thought I would take a moment and write about what I am thankful for since tomorrow is going to be a zoo.

I am thankful for my family biological, by marriage, and by choice. I have a great family that is very supportive of each other in good times and bad. My parents gave me the opportunities to become the person that I am. They supported my wanting to go into the theater. They have always been there when I needed them.

I am thankful that I have such a wonderful husband. He and I work well as a team. People still comment on how cute we are. We even got called out by the warm-up act for the Colbert Report because he thought it was sweet that we were holding hands and not ashamed that we are holding hands. I am glad that we still feel this way about each other for over 10 years now. I love him a little more each and every day.

I am thankful for my health. Yeah it is not perfect but it is getting better. I am thankful for the ability to breath again. I had forgotten how much I missed being able to take a deep breath and not have a coughing fit. I am also thankful that my daughter is getting better too. I don't wake up in the middle of the night listening to her hack and cough. She is being such a good girl in taking the medicines that are making her better.

I am thankful for my artist abilities. I haven't done much with them recently which I planned to correct. I am thankful to all the people who have taught me skills that I have used in my work. I am thankful that I took shop rather than home economics in high school. I am thankful that I can use power tools and make small home repairs.

I am thankful for the various forms of fandom I have been involved in. I have always enjoyed meeting other people who share my interests. It is even more fun when more than one group over laps for me. Right now I am working on a doll challenge that is a Discworld challenge. I am doing the Wyrd Sisters.

I am thankful to you who read these words. I just throw this out there into the Internet and am sometimes amazed at the number of people who keep up with me through my web log. Makes catching up on news a lot shorter.

I am grateful for all that I have to be thankful for.

Very different and unique, ... You don't want me near power tools... except anything electronic, i can fix those. Anything household... i rather someone else do it, so if something goes wrong, wanna come to my house.

I am grateful for what I have as well... I gotta be grateful as my health may deteriorate as I get older... I hope not, since I am quite healthy for the time being, knock on wood.

My boyfriend and I still hold hands after two years. I hope we can make it to ten years as well.

It's wonderful that you and Peter work so well together. I'm blessed with a wonderful husband as well so I can totally relate to this. Smile
