The topic was hope and right now I don't have much. So rather than writing something I will probably regret in the future, I am going to not write for LJ Idol this week.

Hope is tricky as a subject matter at the best of times; this has been a hard year for so many of us. Now, I've got to say, Obama winning has given me some hope (though Prop. 8 passing is rapidly eroding that), and I'm sure many people will in fact be writing about the election. I think sometimes, though, it's important to know when you just need a rest along the way of striving. I'll keep voting for you in LJ Idol as soon as you get back to writing, though! :)
