So anyone think that the Rays are going to pull a BoSox or should they just batten down the hatches in Philly? I will say that the bad umpiring has not favored one team or another but I am amazed at both the strike zone for these games and some of the calls that have stood. I would hate this series to hinge on one very bad call for either team.
Jets won but did they deserve it? Three turnovers? They were lucky on a number of calls from the officials. This one was one of those who wanted to lose it more than who wanted to win. I will say that the Jets defense looked better than it has in the past couple of games. The offense needs to get its act together as the Jets head into a number of games with teams with winning records or this is going to be a very short season. Farve has already thrown 11 interceptions this season with 7 occurring in the last three games. He can’t do that and expect to win.
The Giants manged to pull it out but only because of their defence who caused 4 turnovers and a number of sacks which caused the Steelers to lose. The offence was still sloppy and did not use all the chances given to them. Anyone think that Burress learned his lesson? I’m thinking No. At least we aren’t dealing with Packman Jones. I will give credit to the coach of taking a hard line on Burress’ antics.
We’ll have to see if the Colts can take on the Titans tonight and bring them down. I’m betting no but stranger things have happened.
I am grateful for anything that makes Caroline feel better right now. She has a very nasty cold.
