But she has school today. If she had today off, she would have a 5 day weekend.
My right thumb hurts a bit this morning. Caroline can throw a softball with a bit of speed on it and I tipped it on my thumb which is now a bit tender. It is better than last night after the injury.
I am so happy that I remembered to put her homework in her backpack. She has been finishing it up on time if not early but we both seem to have a block on putting back in her bag. She likes the math portion of the packet the most so far but she is getting much better at writing her name in both Upper and lower case.
I have some stuff I need to do this morning on the computer but then I plan to be off for the rest of the afternoon. We are down one computer since Peter’s is being worked on to solve some problems with the operating system being rather old and no longer compatible with newer programs so he can’t use his new keyboard because we can’t install the drivers. Does anyone else remember when you could just plug in a new keyboard and it would work? I swear we have gotten these machines way more complicated than they need to be when it comes to the hardware /software interface.
I have the materials I need for one project I want to work on. Now I need to get the patterns out for another idea.
But first I have to recover the living room from the invasion of the stuffed toys. I did fix the shelves that needed to be repaired. Now I have to find homes for some of the books that caused them to be over loaded in the first place. I think I know where I can put them.
Or maybe I’ll start putting up the decorations since the weather is suppose to be very nice today.
Ah the endless possibilities.
I am grateful for NPR.
