At 4 o’clock this morning I awoke with a great title and subject for today’s web log. I had it all plotted out in my head. It was going to be fun and lead to all kinds of discussion. I fell back to sleep while smiling. This morning I woke up and can’t remember anything about the clever idea from last night. And it was such a clever title too.

I have been following “Project Runway” this season. It has not been their best season. I think the challenges have been better suited for designers this time and also we lost, for the most part, the celebrity of the week that they are designing for which took up a good 15 minutes of air time for everyone to tell us how much it means to them to meet said celebrity. I think that the final three is the best left standing but I think there were some really bad calls during the contest. People when out who should have stayed in longer and some that should have been punted in short order hung on for quite a while.

But when everything shook out, these were the ones that I picked to go pretty far in the contest at the beginning. They tried to turn Kenley into Santino and failed horribly. She just came off as bratty and belligerent but I have to think that she was edited that way. Although Micheal Kors did make a rather telling statement about his concerns about Kenley. I have seen the collections and I can’t really tell a winner from that. I don’t think it is a spoiler that Tim Gunn took over as a judge when Jennifer Lopez flaked at the last possible moment. (OK she did hurt her foot but it is sitting and judging not walking around.)

To everyone who has been asking me about Boots costumes, I am going to be sending an individual e-mail to each of you, but I am going to have to pass on making any costumes this year. I can tell you that I used Simplicity pattern 3594 ( Toddler Monkey, Fairy, Frog, and Lion Costumes). I just made red boots rather than feet and slightly reworked the tail. I have a couple of projects I didn’t get done in September so I don’t want to take on anymore at this time. But thank you for your interest.

I am grateful for ideas that pop into my head at 4 in the morning even if I can’t remember them the next day.

I'm watching Project Runway too. I really liked Jamail, and I'm disappointed that his work last night was not up to the level of some of his other work. I agree with Kenley and the editing. She did come off as a brat, but I like her work, and her dresses last night were really well done.

It's really curious that with all the other designers last night, we met their family and/or their SO. Kenley just had a picture of her grandmother, who just passed away. Was it edited like that or did she really have no-one to show off to?

I didn't like Jamail's dress, nor his line work (looked at it on the website). Kors was right, he's just gaudy. Korto is far, far better than Jamail and she just had a bad dress. I think that the judges prefer boring to tacky.

Jerrell was on my short list for Bryant Park from the beginning. I was so disappointed with what he did last night. What the heck was he thinking?

I give Kenley props for creating what she did and creating them well. However, as far as the Santino edit as concerned...I'll say that yes, editing plays a part in it, but there's also personality too. You just don't go around dissing Tim Gunn in front of his face. You don't go around behaving like a spoiled brat and pissing everyone off. I just hope she's learned something from watching the episodes.

(I'm trying to be objective here, but I really can't stand her because of the brattiness. Santino was a jerk, but I could take him better for some reason).

I agree with the decision last night. Although I didn't like Either one of the designers up for elimnation. I do think that Kenley was edited to make her look worse. She got very defensive.. the last couple of times she was up for elimination. I don't think she takes critisism very well.
