If you want to see what I wrote last year then read here

For those of you who are checking out this web log for the first time, welcome.

I'm Kathleen O. David generally known on the net as either Puppetmaker40 or Kath the Puppeteer. If you met me before 1990 then you tend to call me Kathy. If you met me after 1990 then it is either Kathleen or Kath.

I am many things to many people. I have had a slew of jobs that range from cancer research (chief bottle washer and Igor at the Emory Cancer research center) to rock and roll (sound board operator and general crew) with a lot of interesting jobs along the way. I have been a book editor at Del Rey Books. I am a master puppeteer. I am a doll maker. I am a costumer and mask maker. I am a card carrying AEA stage manager. I have managed both book stores and comic book shops in my time. The list is much longer but this is an intro not a resume.

But one of my most important jobs on this planet is being Mommy to my daughter Caroline. If you continue to read this blog, you will find that I talk about Caroline a lot here. She is my one and only child. She is my husband's fourth daughter with three from the previous marriage. The youngest lives with us and answers to Ariel when the headphones aren't wrapped around her skull. The other two are in their mid 20s and have lives of their own in other states that we follow along with.

My husband is rather well known in various circles. He is a writer of stuff. He has been published in just about every form of writing possible. He wrote a couple of episodes of Babylon 5 (Soul Mates and There in the Honor lies) and a series for Nickelodeon called Space Cases. He is current working at Marvel on a number of books including Dark Tower; She-Hulk; and X-Factor. His novel "Tigerheart" came out this past June and his next "Mascot in Training" is coming out either this month or the next.

Oh, I became a published author this summer. I had a short story called "On a Pedestal" published in the Big Finish anthology "Dr. Who Short Trips: Qualities of Leadership".

If you friend me, then I tend to friend back. I feel shy about friending people who haven't expressed an interest first. But don't feel shy about friending me. I'll a very friendly person as many of the readers here can attest to.

I am going to open this thread to questions. If you got 'em then ask 'em. There are some that I can't answer due to Non-disclosure agreements that I or Peter have signed and there are some parts of my life that I keep off the net on purpose.

So, what more do you want to know about me? (This is open to long time readers as well)

Never saw Space Cases (wasn't shown in the UK if I recall).

I gave up reading X-Factor a very long time ago. (Muir Island Saga for those wanting to know more). I hated the new direction it took. I'm still a fan of the OLD stuff, around the Uncanny X-Men era. Mind you, I pretty much abandoned Marvel around that time. The art on Iron Man made it unreadable, X-Factor fell to pieces (in my opinion) and there was nothing left worth reading (again, in my opinion). I didn't start reading anything from Marvel till JMS took over Amazing Spider-man (and look how that ended :( Brand New Day just made me sad.)

I'm more of a DC fan I guess.
