First I would like to thank each and every one of you who wished me a Happy Birthday.
That made it extra special to me.

For my birthday I got a shiny new phone that I have been lusting after for a number of years now

Yes, I have joined the iPhone Zombie brigade and quite proud to be a member.

It was parent teacher night at the school and I went to listen to the teacher tell us how she is planning to teach our children. I think Caroline is in good hands. It is very structured which is a good thing in my book. I even joined the PTA. Now we have to sign Caroline up for soccer and I'll have the full title.

I hopped on a train and headed into the city to meet up with Peter who was giving an interview for Ugo.com. I watched an episode of Monk I hadn't seen on my iPhone. Have I mentioned how cool it is? And did some web surfing as well. I have to get the hang of the touch pad which is baffling me at times.

Midtown Comics did a splendid job at providing me a lovely cake and the fans were very nice. The gang at Midtown can sing on key and I got a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday from them. It made my 45th so memorable.

The signing went well. There were enough people to make it worth the time but not too many so it was a mad house. I got to catch up with some of the guys I use to talk to once a week when I went in for our books. I showed off pictures of Caroline that I had taken with the iPhone and they declared her very cute.

We got home rather late but it was worth it.

I <3 my iPhone. I really really do.

I just wish I could find an app for it that would let you randomly rotate the wallpaper, rather than having to set it manually.

(Oh yes, and Happy Birthday to you!)

Yay, iphone!

Loup loves his. It's the most Star Trek gadget we've ever seen.

[personal profile] mabfan and I joined the ranks of the iPhone-enabled two weeks ago when my old phone broke (he'd been wanting one for a while; I said not until we needed new phones. My phone breaking irreparably was the tipping point). I'm still getting used to it, but so far I'm loving it.

I've been loving the phone; when I'm on the road, I can check on the Cardinals at will. I've always wanted a mp3 player, and I've got the Doctor Who theme as the ringtone.

The only problem now is that I keep tapping books and paper to make the typeface larger. :)

How did you get the Doctor Who theme?

The finger stuff is still strange to me.

It's a pain in the butt to do, but I finally figured it out.

The Doctor Who soundtrack is available on iTunes. You can call up the theme through their store, and somewhere on the command bar (I can send you specific instructions later if you want) there's a "create ringtone" command. You'll pay a dollar for the ringtone, but so far that's the only way I've determined how to do it.

Cool beans on the iPhone. I'll admit, they're pretty cool. But I love my HTC TytnII (AT&T Tilt) even more than I'd love an iPhone. :-)

Glad your birthday went so well! And props on the shiny new toy. (Having no kids, I'd put LOADS of my kitty pictures on it if I had one, so it's probably just as well.) ;)
