And the Storm Passes

There is a song called "Hard Hearted Hannah" that is part of the Adventurers Club repertory sung by Pamelia Perkins Club President. And that was what Peter and I were calling this hurricane that was headed to New York. Well Hannah, apparently, had a soft heart because we got a lot of rain and some wind but nothing like we could have gotten. I have walked the property this morning and most of what is on the ground is no worse that a bad thunderstorm.
This morning the skies are blue and the temperature is fine. The humidity that I could cut with a knife yesterday is gone. All in all, it is a pretty nice outside.
All I have gotten done in terms of clean up from the convention right now is that the laundry is done and the kitchen floor is clean. Today I want to get more done in the kitchen including cleaning out the medicine cabinet of all expired product. I haven't done that in about a year so it is time to do so. I figure if I do a cabinet a day, I can get the kitchen back in order without stressing.
Caroline is enjoying her weekend but is looking forward to school tomorrow. This will be her first full week of school. Her body rhythms are good for the schedule she has. She goes to sleep about 9 and get up about 7 and takes about a one-hour nap when she gets home from school.
I am grateful that the storm was not as bad as predicted.
