Sunday was a lot of bits and pieces of stuff that just needed to be done.

I went to my parents for breakfast, church, and to see Caroline. She was so happy to see me. I got lots of hugs and pats all morning long. We played together for a while and then I had to get back to the convention.

Did a few more panels. Some about editing and one really cool one for charity. I was asking questions for the Star Wars charity trivia contest along with a nice mix of people some actors from the films (Daniel Logan, Jake Lloyd, Matthew Wood); a LucusFilms spokesperson (Carl Cunningham); an author (Mike Stackpole) and me. We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs. Both the panel and the audience were highly entertained which is the best form of panel at DragonCon.

We had some friends and family up to the room for BBQ from Fat Matt's and did our usual Masquerade Commentary. I have a feeling there are going to be some words about the results considering that I already heard some in passing.

Ariel and I went to the Yule Ball and I brought Dobby along. I also put on my Snape costume that I had worn last year for the costuming panel. Dobby went over very well. There were a lot of pictures taken of my little house elf. I had people who wanted to pose with him. Ariel took over when my arm started to give out. The sleeves of the Snape coat are not conducive to operating a puppet. We hung out there for a bit and I got to talk to some of my friends I hadn't had a chance to talk to in person for about a year.

Today I do one of my favorite panels which is the Star Wars kids programming. I do it every year and have a lot of fun with the kids. We are making paper bag puppets and finger droids.

This evening we visit with my parents and then we are going back home after a very long trip. It will be good to be back there.

I am grateful for shared experience.

Ah, Fat Matt's ...

Now you're making me wish I had a big slab o' ribs for breakfast. I have fond memories of the World Horror Con in Atlanta—in 1995, I think—when I had ribs there for lunch one day with Alan Rodgers and Meg-Turville Heitz and was so satisfied that I didn't eat for a full 24 hours ... when I went and had more ribs at Fat Matt's!

Sorry we weren't able to meet. We realized on Sunday afternoon that there really wasn't anything that we just HAD to go see Monday morning (and we'd have had to leave Atlanta no later than noon anyway, since we've a 6 hour drive home and hubby has to go to work tonight around midnight), so we checked out of the hotel on Sunday (thus saving ourselves another day's charges) and left the con Sunday afternoon.

It sounds like you had a great time! I saw your stuff that was in the art show room, and briefly saw you on the D*C tv replay of the Masquerade, when they introduced the judges. Maybe next time we'll see each other in person! *Hugs*

Did you also come to the Pirate Party with a puppet? Someone asked me if they could be in the costume contest (or their puppet anyway) but registration had already closed.

Awww... Dobby. :)

I wonder if there were younger kids who just saw the films and have faulty memories who would "Who's that?"

I mean the producers and screenwriters forgot... so why not?

Glad you're having/had a great time.

So glad I got to see you (and Dobby--so cute!) at the ball!

It's just too bad that scheduling worked out the way it did, but we'll definitely make sure we put Page to Screen anywhere BUT near Saturday at 7pm next year. After all, we really do love you.

Good con. :D
