But first a DragonCon Art Show preview.
I present the Gawblin Boys

I can't believe how close we are to DragonCon. I am looking forward to it. I like seeing the people I know and I enjoy meeting new people as well.
FanExpo was fun for all of us.
Yesterday Peter did a lecture on writing comic book plots to a packed room. Caroline stood around looking cute. It was well received. There were a lot of people with note books taking notes. Peter went over the basics of the three act structure. A number of people commented going out that they wished he had a much longer block to talk since they learned so much in an hour.
I saw the rest of the dealers room and had a good time during Peter's Marvel signing with Dan Slot, CB Cebulski, and Matt Fraction. All of which were in rare form so there was much banter for all. This is the first I had met Dan and Matt. Nice guys with quick wits which is what they needed to keep up with Peter and Dan.
We did take Caroline swimming again which she did very well at.
All in all a rather fun convention.
Today we go off to Atlanta. If the weather is good, we will go to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and then back into the United States.
I am grateful that Caroline enjoyed her first time in a foreign country.

Date: 2008-08-25 01:38 pm (UTC)Bryan says hi to Peter, and that he's glad that you bumped into Henry Winkler.
PS so far, the weather is cooler and cloudy, thanks to last night's major storm system. However, it's supposed to be sunny. Hope that you have fun.

Date: 2008-08-25 02:30 pm (UTC)Sadly, we probably won't get to D*Con this year. Lots of other things grabbing our time -- not least of which is the college search/application process for Xian. yes, time flies too dam' fast.
If you're doing anything non-con related whilst here (or going to dinner during the con where we can join you) let me know!
