puppetmaker | FanExpo Canada 2008 Day 2

It was a nice leisurely day which was just what I needed. Peter had a full plate and did his con duty but I could come and go as I pleased. Caroline and I had a quiet morning. We went swimming in the pool and had lunch with just the two of us. We did spend some time at the convention. Caroline sold a couple of drawing and then bought a stuffed animal with her earnings.

Ariel and I went to run an errand for Peter. He needed to get something to Henry Winkler. Now we had met Henry at the last United Fan Con and had great fun talking with him. I figured he meets so many people that he wouldn't know us from the dozen of other people that talk to him. We came around a corner and he saw us. He winked at me and waved us over to him. We got big hugs (he is a wonderful hugger) and did that brief con news catch-up. I got to tell him that besides both of us being dyslexic, we both went to the YSD. He high-fived me on that information. We finished up our short conversation and I turn around to see a rather large crowd qued up for his autograph. We caught him right before he started signing again which was a good piece of luck on our part. I could see the wheels turning in people's head as they tried to figure out who the heck were these people with Henry.

That evening we went to a Diamond retailers party and had some excellent Italian food. We came back to the room and Caroline and I fell asleep while watching the men's diving in the Olympics which ends today (or rather is ending tomorrow morning our time I believe)

Today I am taking Caroline to the pool again and then I am going to the convention as Ariel and Caroline are going to relax in the room for a bit.

I am grateful for the people I get to hug.
