Behind the cut is the information about the viewing, which is Sunday, and the Funeral, which is Monday.

Ariel is going up today to spend sometime with one of her best friends who were part of the convention Scooby Gang that Robbie was a part of too. They met in the green room of the Masquerade at either Shoreleave or Farpoint and have been rather inseparable since.

I have to figure out what I can get done in the next couple of days along with getting some motivation together to do it. I have to say that my motivation went right out the door the other day.

So hugs the ones you love or send them a letter or an e-mail telling them how you feel. Life is fleeting. And don't sweat the small stuff because that is all that it is.

Now I am off to sculpt today. Maybe pounding clay will help me a bit.

I am grateful for good friends in times of trouble.

Friends may greet the family Sunday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road., Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 18, 2008 at 1 p.m. meeting directly at Saint Pius X Church 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will be private at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers contributions in Robbie’s memory may be made to The Tommy Fund for Childhood Cancer, Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital, 20 York Street, New Haven, CT 06511-3202 (www.tommyfund.org). It is a saga indeed.

We saw Robbie back at the end of June at his house. He was going in for his last round of Chemo the following Tuesday and hoped to be cleared to go to Shoreleave in about 2 weeks after that.

He and Ariel were joking around and goofing like they always did when they were together.

I think that it was better that that was her last visit with him rather than in the hospital with all the wires and tubes and stuff.

I am glad that I saw him then too. I didn't hug him because I had the infected tooth and I didn't want to chance anything and I think that is my biggest regret. Robbie was always good for a hug.

I'm glad that was Ariel's last memory too. That helps a lot. Ariel and the entire David family have been on my mind, as well as the Greenbergers. Enjoy your clay pounding -- I'm sure it will be therapeutic.

I didn't go up the past few months because I've had lung issues myself since early spring (that never-ending bronchitis), and was afraid of giving it to him. I don't regret not passing on my bug, but I heavily regret not seeing him again.

And yes. Robbie gave some of the greatest hugs. I am going to miss that a lot. He'd also adopted a lot of his father's flirtatious ways, and it was so charming on him. :)

Thank you.

He was a special person who burned bright before he burnt out.

::hug::

I hadn't seen this news and I am very sorry for your loss of someone so young.

I was "stopping by" to share a funny that reminded me immediately of you, and I hope it's still appropriate to leave it (though it's odd in the context of here), but laughter is always a healing thing.

A friend of mine posted a link to a 'puppet blooper' (http://mysterg.livejournal.com/679146.html?mode=reply&style=mine).

I'm sending you and yours some warm huggy thoughts.
