Lunch with a Friend

I had lunch with my oldest friend yesterday. We have known each other for over 35 years and rapidly heading to 40. We have been through a lot together and apart but there is a comfortable feeling when I get together with her. We pick up the conversation where we left off. I will say that the Internet and on-line journals have made it easier to keep up with what is happening to her and for her to keep up with me. We did some fabric looking and were very good and did not add to our fabric stash. We had lunch and talked about stuff that we had not put out there on the Internet. It was very nice.

I feel better for the visit.

I am grateful for old friends and comfortable friendships.

That's very cool. I've been friends with my oldest friend for thirty-two years but with my best friend for twenty-one, and with both of them whenever I see them it's like we've never been apart.

Didn't add to our fabric stash *then*. But if I see that very soft striped fur again, I'll probably buy it. And I think you found a few for another trip, as well. ;)

It was a good lunch. I'm glad we could get together.
