The Home Run Derby makes a lot more sense when you know the rules to the game. And how about Josh Hamilton? Boy, when he gets into a groove there is no stopping him. I think it was more about his pitcher's arm getting tired rather than his hitting. That will be a mark that will stand the test of time for a while.
Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog has its first webisode up and running. I really enjoyed it. It made me smile and it make me laugh. I am looking forward to the next two installments. I recommend that if you are a Whedon fan, a Neil Patrick Harris fan or a Nathan Fillion fan, you must check this out. Even if you don't fit in the above category, it is still a lot of fun for those of us who like good 50s style action hero TV with a serious twist.
I understand what the New Yorker was trying to do with the cover, but I think they needed to think it a little further through. Peter's idea was to have a conservative radio host (pick your favorite or least favorite) at the mic and that cover in the thought or word balloon so that there is the element of where this sort of thing is coming from. I have to agree that image would have brought the point home without making yet another headline that can be misinterpreted and just lead to more people believing that Obama is a Muslim (which he isn't).
Today is about putting things away from the convention. Getting the house back to normal. Ariel is dealing with sinus issues that I don't think are allergies. Caroline is off with Peter running some errands. So I have a window here to get stuff done uninterrupted which I am going to do now.
I am grateful for getting home in a decent amount of time yesterday.
