Rules: Post 3 things you've done that you believe nobody else on your F-list has done. See if anybody else responds with "I've done that."

1) The first time I saw Pulp Fiction I went to see it with Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean.

2) George Takei attended my Wedding as did Bill Mumy. Harlan Ellison was Peter's Best Man.

3) I kicked Chris Reeves out of my backstage area for making too much noise.

Impressive! I don't think anyone is going to have a "me too" for those! :)

I had a bunch and went for the absolutes rather than the maybes.

I also wanted to do one that was connected to be married to Peter; one connected to my life before Peter and I got together; one connected to my theater career (I had a bunch from my time in the Theater)

*grin*

I still have a Aunt that doesn't talk to me since Harlan took umbrage to the fact that he couldn't get her to laugh so he decided to see what he could do about it.

LMAO.

Hmmm, unfortunately I can't claim any of those things.

Yeah but you have a bunch of cool things you have done too. *grin*

Thanks.

You probably have a few yourself. Or have you done this meme and I missed it?

From: [identity profile] gryphonrose.livejournal.com
Nah, I don't usually post memes. I might reply to jendaby's with my list, though, if I can think of good ones. :)

Man, that rocks. I'm trying to think of three things :D

From: [identity profile] puppetmaker40.livejournal.com
You have them. I know you do.

Just consider some of the art stuff you have done esp. the specialty cards.

I found some quirky things I've done :D

But the art, yeah, sadly many people on my friends list have also done sketch cards ;)

[livejournal.com profile] kradical showed us photos of the wedding when we were in New York last week. Harlan was indeed rocking the orange tie of doom!

And yes. I think you can definitely claim 100% uniqueness in those events, unless Neil is reading right now. ;)

From: [identity profile] puppetmaker40.livejournal.com
Well Neil went to the movies with Me and Dave so he couldn't have done it kinda sorta....OK I'm splitting hairs *grin*

Ha ha ha!

We missed you this past weekend, but totally understood you were feeling under the weather. Hopefully next trip out we can meet up!

The museum was amazing!

I was hoping but right now the mouth comes first and I really wasn't feeling up to traveling.

It is better now so I am crossing my fingers that this will be the end of this problem.

I was so looking forward to meet you too.

Ditto here!

We'll be back next summer for definite for the wedding, so let's hope all the stars align then. ;)

Ever brand your thigh with a turkey thermometer? *grin*

Or go swimming during jellyfish breeding season and get the larvae trapped in your bathing suit?
~Note: Should this happen to your family, gently wipe the area with vinegar and do not, I repeat, DO NOT, take a cold shower.~

Or hide one of the New Kids on the Block from screaming fans, yet have no clue who he is?

As for yours... Those are pretty awesome. All people that I find cool and would love to have a chance to meet someday.

From: [identity profile] lunalovegoddess.livejournal.com
Ooh! I just thought of something unusual:

Have you ever lost your knickers on the Monorail?
(for full story, see my post: http://lunalovegoddess.livejournal.com/369749.html )
From: [identity profile] puppetmaker40.livejournal.com
Oh my word...That is just too funny (I'm sure at the time it wasn't )

I have to say that you beat me there.

Those are definitely three cool things. Let's see...

1. Spent a late night drinking with the Hansen brothers from Deadliest Catch.

2. Came this close to being shot, or at least rammed by police cruisers, when I inadvertently drove into the middle of the King of Jordan's motorcade.

3. Worked in the same office with the world renowned Kathleen O'Shea :)

Cheers,

Chris

#3 awwwww. Thanks *blush*

How hard to the Hansen Brothers drink? I'm better pretty hard.

re #3 - I did once have to ask Neil Patrick Harris to leave backstage during intermission, but told him that he had permission to come directly backstage post-show and help his boyfriend into his Halloween costume.

(BTW I'm not sure I've commented before, I started reading here during LJ idol.)

Did Sulu bring his boyfriend?

Brad didn't come with George that weekend but he was invited.

Chris and I crossed paths back in the summer of 1990 so he was still walking around.

No offense, as those are definitely all cool things, but I'd also be interested in 3 non-celebrity related things you've uniquely done.

Harder to do since many of my cool things come out of my theater background and conventions.

I have had monkey poo tossed at me when I worked at Yerkes Primate Center as a paid intern.

I changed the way that YSD looked at grad students ages for financial aid getting rid of a discriminatory practice that screwed a lot of students out of that aid.

I didn't go to work at Coca-Cola park the night of the bomb which went off at the tower I tended to run spot from.
