Or the impending weather for the weekend that has me in the mood for a serious rant.

So behind the cut is a rant about various things I need to get off my chest. There is no rhyme or reason to it and there might be some language (sorry Mom).

I am grateful that I can rant.

To the dipsh*t on E-bay who is trying yet again to make money off of other people's copyright. Look I don't give a wet dog f*rt if these are owned by big companies that you seem to think is swimming in cash. I bet you would not be doing it if the original owner were still around. How do I know? You have said as much on the Internet. Other companies have paid good money for a legal license to make replicas and honestly, their version is better and cost less. I think the thing that is p*ssing me off the most is your attitude towards the whole thing especially to people who are being rather polite in pointing out that your activities reflect badly on the community as a whole.

What you might not realize is that the community knows people in those big corporations including a number in the legal department who were very interested in finding out that you were at it yet again. I expect that you will come up with yet another name on E-bay to go under since you seem to do that a lot but your website has been made by the legal teams and you will probably find a bunch of C&D letters in your mailbox.

To those twits (this one has been happening in more than one group in a splendid example of serendipity that seem to happen on the Internet) who keep boo-hooing over how mean the art world is to their world. Wake up and smell the coffee. Not everyone is going to like what you do and when what you do is basically one thing with slight variations; they are going to be less interested. I can hear the bitterness in your e-mails that the general art world is not that into you and guess what they aren't going to be ever.

You have been given other places to sell your work that you come up with road blocks as to why each one is not going to work for you. You will not do a juried show because...Well I don't have time to list the various excuses that have been given on that one. Please will you all stop whining and pouting on the lists. Your art is going to appeal to a very narrow demographic. Accept that and find them and leave the rest of us alone.

OK jerk you got one whole car length in front of me and almost caused an accident in doing so. And all you got was in front of me and behind the LOM that was the reason I was driving rather cautiously. Well that and the rain which was making the streets rather hazardous.

To the other chippy on a cell phone who tried to merge into my truck. I see a big accident in your future. I had the right of way and I was a head of you the entire time. Speeding up does not help matters here because it is your lane that has to yield to my lane. Also my truck is almost 20 years old and you have a new SUV that I bet gets lovely gas mileage. Honking at me isn't going to help matters either my dear. I hope a cop pulls you over before you hurt someone.

Speaking of cops and pulling people over. Ha-ha (in my best Nelson Voice) to the driver who was cutting through traffic at an alarming rate trying to get somewhere rather fast. Yeah kid, the cops nailed your ass and the look on your face was priceless after you got pulled over. You may have been driving at the speed of traffic trying to exceed it but there are other rules about driving in a hazardous manner. I hope they got you for the cell phone you had up to your ear as you careened through traffic causing the rest of us to break suddenly to avoid an accident with you.

To the idiot with the two kids who almost made a cashier at a fast food restaurant cry, great example you are setting for your kids. You didn't get what you wanted so you are going to yell at this poor person? I bet you give your kids h*ll about that when they do that to you. The rest of us waiting were pretty darn uncomfortable about it and probably wished we had the gumption to say something. But we didn't because we didn't want to get in it with you and you got what you wanted. I'm betting that those veins popping out of your neck aren't a good thing and maybe you'll learn something with that heart attack heading your way but I am betting not.

To those people who decide that picking on other people on the Internet and then getting their knickers in a twist when the party they are slamming decided to respond. F**K Y**! Believe it or not, professionals have feelings too but they are caught in a Catch-22 here. If they comment and defend themselves then they are being d*cks and they are also giving you personal satisfaction that you got a rise out of the pro. If they don't comment then they don't care about fans according to you. Personal attacks bother me the most since it is nothing about the professional's work that is being commented on but the pro themselves. I bet you would never say what you are saying to their face but because it is the Internet "it doesn't really count".

And to the Cosmos right now, not happy with you. I mean could we just get one break here? We are good people.

In about a month, they can pull and cite you for cell phones without headsets in California.

I am SO EAGER for this. I've nearly been run over in crosswalks by cell phone users without headsets far more times than I can count. We've been cut off in traffic by them. Even the single accident I was in, that was my fault, the other person was actively talking on their cell phone on their ear when it happened, and had to sit there and explain that she'd just gotten in an accident before she'd even got out of the car to see what happened to her.

It's been illegal in New York State for some time. Doesn't even slow people down. But at least it generates revenue for the state....

The still talking while dealing with the accident just annoys the heck out of me. You are in a bloody accident put DOWN The cell phone.
