I have always been fascinated by leap year. That we have an extra day every four years so that the other years will stay in about the same season is really cool. I wonder how they figured out that they needed to do this.

Anyone remember the leap minute? They did that a number of years ago to sort out the atomic clock.

I treasure extra time that I get since I seem to not have enough for what I want to do.

So today I am going to do what I want to do with the exception of the dishes since our dish washer died last night. Right now I am soaking a bunch of glasses with milk scum at the bottom. Let's see what I can get done.

I am grateful for an extra day.

I do! I found a small piece of tinsel on the ground that New Year's eve, and decided that that was the extra minute. I carried it around with me for days afterwards, and kept it for a long time.

*grins* Pretty much the same as yesterday. Writing another 5k on this book.

I'm thinking I'm going to look at motorcycles this afternoon though.

Atomic clocks... you know, I keep thinking of the Doctor Who movie every time someone mentions an atomic clock - I saw them being sold at a Sam's Club a couple of weeks ago, and I immediately thought, "Wow, the Doctor could have solved the problem so easily by just going to Sam's Club and buying one..."

But that would have been sort of anticlimactic, I guess :P

It's my day off, so I went shopping, and now I'm alternating among reading, ripping CDs, and playing with the Internet.

Did you get my email about the tribbles?
