We have a potential storm warning for the area for tonight into tomorrow. I am not expecting much from it since I replenished the ice melt that we need to be in compliance with the town and village ordinances.

I had to go and get milk since we were out. And looking at the dairy case where there was a lot of milk that had been sold I came to a conclusion about storms and instincts. I believe that there is a primal human need to make French Toast during a snow storm. Hear me out on this theory. What are the things that everyone stocks up on? Bread, Milk, and Eggs. I had to go down the baking aisle to get some baking powder having used the last of it that morning to make pancakes and I noticed that the vanilla section was pretty much wiped out. All that was left were a few bottle of the house brand. That is when I had my revelation about French toast.

I am grateful for French toast.

It's not so much the making of french toast during a storm, as after, once you realize you bought too much milk, eggs, vanilla and bread. I mean what the hell else are you going to do with it all?

:D
