My dreams are odd. And I have known that for years. Sometimes they are so real, it is hard to sort out from reality but I usually can do it. Some of them are the fantastical and others are pretty mundane.

Now with the writer's strike on we all know that we will be, if we turn on the TV, watching more reality shows which are even now being worked on.

I had a dream last night that I was doing a couple of days work on a new reality TV series. A friend had asked me if I could help with the auditions for the show. Escorting people in and introducing them to the producers. Making sure that the runners we had kept everyone in food and water. Making sure that the next person was ready to go. The usual stuff that you have to do when you are running an audition which I have done a number of times in my life.

The show was a reality show called, "Is it in the kiss?" and it was a show where they were trying to find out if you could fall in love with someone purely by their kiss. You didn't see faces or anything else. The only interact was the kiss.

I am grateful for the lucidness of my dreams even when they are weird.

At some point in between my childhood recurring dream of an island-sized whale and my adult dream that included glowing purple sand dunes, I realized Dude: vivid dreams are a GIFT.

I'm also lucky in that I rarely have nightmares; I can usually take even dreams with disturbing imagery in stride. They happen occasionally, but they'd have to happen far more for me to start worrying.

Thanks for sharing. (Hmm: Behind the scenes at a reality show... I'm convinced that there's a potentially really interesting book to be written about what it's like to produce Survivor, though that's not likely to happen, even after it goes off the air.)

I had a dream last night, too. See if it's weirder than yours.

We were sharing the Weasleys' home. It was in SOUTH AFRICA. We decided to drive from South Africa to Egypt. Mr. Weasley said that it would take 12 hours.

I just remembered this part (and will have to add it to the GR): the third floor had this white room full of boxes and sheet-covered furniture. And who was talking up there but MVP (from the WWE) and Plaxico Burress (Wide Receiver for the NY Giants).

/headdesk This is what happens when I eat Cheetos for dinner.

I guess that competition would be along the lines of Njord getting chosen for marriage when the maiden picked him from a line-up of Norse gods after seeing only their feet. She made the mistake of assuming that Baldr the beautiful god would also have beautiful feet.
