Happy 5th Birthday Caroline

puppetmakerI can remember on the Muppet Show Robin the Frog wants to sing "They Call the Wind Miria" but instead his Uncle Kermit informs him in no uncertain terms that he is going to sing "I'm Five" instead. (Robin: I'm going to get my Agent! I'm going to get a Lawyer! Kermit: I'm going to get your Father. Robin: I'm going to sit down and learn this cute little song.) It was the first time Robin refers to Kermit as his Uncle.
Well today I have a little girl who could sing that song too. She's five. We scrapped the plans to go into the city today. She's too sniffy and it's too cold for her in this condition. So Peter and I are going to do some activities she likes that are indoors and around the area.
She wanted her Daddy to make her birthday cake which he has done. She was rather emphatic that she wanted Daddy to do this and Peter is perfectly happy to do so. We are going to out to lunch with her and an indoor play place she loves to go to. Then this evening she will get her presents and have her Daddy cake.
Sunday we are having her formal birthday party with her friends and cousins. I have some crafts planned for the kiddies.
Today I am spending time with my daughter and it is a wonderful feeling.
I am grateful for the time we have together today.
