3. If you could take 20, 30, 40 years off you and learn one skill (without sacrificing anything from your life now), what would you learn and why?

Date: 2007-11-22 01:54 am (UTC)Wow. That is such a hard one....It might be Ralph the Klingon which is how Peter and I met. It might be the puppet It made of a friend of mine that I gave to him right before he died (they weren't connected I assure you). It might be the first monster I made with my buddies Jeff & Angelo which they still have. But I think it was the first one that I completed on my own because it proved to me that I could do it. I could build puppets

Again so many.
Being introduced to Timothy Leary
"Dr. Leary, this is Kathleen O'Shea. She is a stage manager and puppet. Kathleen this is Dr. Timothy Leary."
Dr Leary" Wonderful to meet you Kathleen. Wanna toke?"
Me: "Please to meet you too and maybe later."
We then ran into each other the next day and ended up talking for almost two hours about all kinds of things.
Meeting Neil Gaiman which I would not have done unless Jill Thompson had insisted that I take my Morphy puppet to meet his spiritual "daddy". That was the beginning of a friendship that I hold dear to this day.
I was once sitting with Peter and his then wife Myra, Harvey Pekar and his wife. We were joined by a friend who said that the O'Sheas were very well know in southern fandom and you could stop a random southern fan, ask them if they knew the O'Sheas and they would either laugh or want to tell you a story about the O'Sheas. The next person by was Uncle Timmy who has known my family for a long time so he laughed AND told them a story.

How to draw. How to really draw. Because there is a lot I can do in this world but drawing ain't one of them

3. If you could be present at any historical event, which one would you choose? (You're only allowed to watch, not to change anything.)
As for posting it, already done (http://budgie-uk.livejournal.com/832625.html)... I'm a-waiting for your questions... :)

Gosh, that is a hard one. Probably when I posted I was grateful for pushpins since I never gave a reason for it in the post but I had needed one and founded it under the couch right as I was searching for what to be grateful for
3. If you could be present at any historical event, which one would you choose? (You're only allowed to watch, not to change anything.)
Hmmm. There are so many to choose from. I would like to be there for the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Date: 2007-11-22 03:16 am (UTC)I don't know if I can even describe it. After all that pain and pushing and then to hold her and it was all worth it and more. She completed me more than I ever knew she could. I remember my first words to her. I whispered in her ear, "Welcome to the world my little baby girl."
2. When did you know that Peter was the one you'd be spending your life with?
Honestly? I had to think really hard about that one because as of this December we have been together for 10 years. I would say when we were down in Mexico at one of the first conventions I went as his girlfriend and Sergio said that we looked like we "fit" with each other. Like we had always been together.
3. How would you describe me to other people?
Hmmm This is Sheila, my sister. She is a poet and a writer. She looks a lot like me but a little shorter and a lot thinner.

From that day
Another blogger has been doing this for a week now so I though I would try it. They list one thing they are grateful for from the big to the small. So to start with I am grateful that I have my husband in my life.
2.) Where is the one place in the world you haven't been that you would love to visit and show Caroline?
Hmmmm Hard....The Creature Shop in London or what is left of it
3.) If we're fortunate enough to meet, and I getting a *hug* or a *HUG*?
