When we last left our adventurers, they had gotten back from the Animal Kingdom after a very pleasant day there.

Later that evening Ariel and I went to Epcot to do a few things like check out the new Nemo Ride for Caroline (which she will probably ride next year). Much to Ariel's horror, the Japanese restaurant is closed but we found out later for renovations not because it is gone forever. So we ate in China instead. We then went to the Adventurers Club for that evening's entertainment while Peter took care of Caroline and wrote an entire issue of a comic book that was due.

The next morning we got ready to go to the Magic Kingdom. Caroline was excited about the prospect of meeting Cinderella again because of the character meet and greet that a friend arranged with the entire cast of Cinderella-bration last year. We did tell her not to get her hopes up but we would see what we could do.

Meanwhile the adults were trying to sort out if we had a room for the next night due to a snafu so there were many phone calls back and forth on that. We tried one of our short cuts to getting to the Magic Kingdom only to find out that the path had been blocked by changes in the rules. We were given some incorrect driving directions and had a heck of a time getting to the park or rather ticketing and transportation. One we sorted that out and caught up with our guide for the day, the day much improved.

We went and saw the new Monster's Inc. show which is like Turtle Talk but there are most characters interacting with the audience. Caroline liked it when Mike was around but tended to hide when Roz showed up. Over all I will say it is a very cute show and the effects are wonder. Both the kids and the adults had a great time and there was much laughter. We checked Buzz Lightyear but the line was over an hour and the fastpass was during a time that we had another obligation.

We went to the Plaza Restaurant and had a nice lunch. One of our friends caught up with us with some good news that another friend had arranged a character meet and greet with some of the princesses so we would be spending some time with Cinderella. That was before the skies opened up and the parade was cancelled. Things look tough for our heroes but we did have sense to stay in out of the rain. It looked like our magic moment had been cancelled due to weather. But again some friends worked some Disney Magic for us and we were on our way to Disney's ToonTown to meet some princesses.

Caroline was so excited by the prospect of seeing Cinderella again. She had been such a good girl that she had earned a new princess dress and this time she chose Ariel as the character she wanted to dress up as. So with her new princess dress on, she spent time with Cinderella, Aurora, and Belle much to her delight. We have plenty of pictures of the event. Then she got a bonus of meeting with Chip & Dale and Goofy. I was a little unsure of how that would go because so far, with the exception of Mickey, she hadn't done well with the costumed characters. But we got a great set of characters who played with her until she over came her fear of giant chipmunks and goofy looking critters. She had her Simba and Nala small stuffed toys with her. She handed one to Dale who started to have the Nala play with the Simba. Caroline got so into the play that she overcame her trepidations. By the time she met Minnie, Pluto, Daisy and Donald, she was talking to them and hugging them and playing with them. I watched my little girl totally buy into the fact she was talking to these characters and the characters had a great time with her too.

But our Disney Magic was not quite over yet. A kind individual gave us the equivalent of a fast pass for meeting Ariel and we trooped over to Ariel's grotto where last year Caroline hadn't wanted to go near the Little Mermaid but this year she got right up there and started chatting away with her. Our Ariel got her annual photo with Ariel who informed her that Flounder's favorite color was pink.

Caroline was starting to fade with all the excitement and the heat so we trooped off to Pirates to see how long the wait was. It was 30 minutes which for Pirates is pretty good these days. Peter went off with Caroline to see if he could get her to fall asleep while we got in line. It was moving pretty fast and we got almost to the turn when we were informed that the ride had broken down. We were kind of stuck so we waited and waited and waited some more. Came to find out later that some idiot had hopped out of the boat and was on his way to the pirate ship when he was pulled from the water and escorted out of the Magic Kingdom. We did get to ride the ride and it is still a lot of fun. Peter didn't really notice how much time had passed since Caroline had fallen asleep less than ten minutes after we left.

We went to Tony's for dinner after Caroline woke up. We debated about staying for the night time parade but Caroline was still on character overload so we took her back to the room. We still didn't know our room status. So I assumed we were going to have to move. I did laundry while Ariel and Peter went to the Adventurers Club until after the Hoopla. I started packing us up for the move I could see ahead.

I am grateful to Karl, Dawn, Graham, Candace, Jay, JM, and David for all their help these past few days.
