puppetmakerAnd whining about it. Jeez Louise, I swear if they told you that Alan Rickman was coming on to be the companion, you would find a reason to not like it. Last year after they announced Martha Jones, the bitchfest was amazing and she is a GREAT companion and this season has some of the best episodes yet. Give these people a chance. I can remember the K-9 kurfluffel way back when and he is now considered one of the most beloved of companions. Give them a chance and I bet they will surprise you!

Date: 2007-07-04 02:14 pm (UTC)S1 ticked me off with the first five minutes when they used a swear word purely to show that it was 'adult'. There was absolutely no necessity for the cop to swear, but hey, it's adult, so people swear for the sake of it.
Mind you, I always used to wince when creators said they were wary about stuff they'd written being read by their kids, until I wrote something for publication (the Trailer Park of Terror stories) and realised that there's no way I'm letting Phil read the book until he's older...
