What A Load of Carp

Peter has a signing today in Maine so he has the Mac today and I am at his PC. This way he can get work done and people who need to send him visuals can get quick answers since my Mac is better than his PC at that sort of thing (or it maybe the version of AOL we have on this computer).
I did get a bunch of stuff done yesterday and hope to get more done today barring an unforeseen wrinkle which I am going to put behind the cut because it is gross and not for the faint of stomach especially if you have a thing about bodily fluids.
I am grateful that it was not worse than it was.
I say carp instead of crap because if I swear and Caroline hears me and repeats all she is saying is the name of a fish.
Yesterday Caroline didn't want to eat at all. She would drink water and I got a protein drink into her but that was about it. I put it down to the three shots she had the day before at her wellness visit. She went to sleep about the usual time and I carried her up to bed which had no stuff on it other than her bedding.
I went into Caroline's room this morning to be hit with the pungent odor of crap. She finally had the last symptom of the virus we both had. She was covered from about her nipples to her heels in crap. Her bed was cover. Her favorite blanket got hit. Her favorite quilt got hit too (Sorry Mary Aileen but I did follow your instructions for cleaning it). First thing was to get her cleaned up which I did. Followed by gather up the items that were soiled which included her pink blankie. Pink Blankie is the one thing that she has to have when she is feeling bad and she couldn't have it. The howls must have been heard around the neighborhood. So she is mad at me and keeps glaring as I type this but the blanket is in the dryer and will be done soon.
Now I have to keep an eye on her and get some more work done.
(UPDATE: PB aka Pink Blankie is clean and the baleful looks have changed to hugs and kisses.)

Date: 2007-02-09 05:02 pm (UTC)Actually I still have my blankie. Poor bedraggled thing that it is. It's wrapped up carefully in a ziploc baggy with a bunch of my other childhood stuff. (including a one-eyed snake who's as bedraggled as the blankie)
