Does anyone else have a cat that chews its nails/claws? Mine does and it looks so weird when he does it.

So has anyone else seen Nightmare before Christmas in 3-D? I noticed something that I have missed from lots of viewings in "2-D". When Zero and Jack are out in the woods right before he finds Christmastown, Jack reaches into his coat and pulls out one of his rib bones for Zero to fetch. Overall I found that the process brought forth that fact that the film was stop motion animation. I am really looking forward to "Meet the Robinsons" which will be the first film made for general distribution.

Sometimes when you look at your children do you ever think you know what they might do when they grow up? I have had a couple of instances in the past couple of days where I think I might be looking at the future.

Caroline came down from her room Saturday and Ariel shrieked for us to get in the living room. Ariel though that Caroline had some how cut her throat. It turns out that Caroline got into Ariel's make-up specifically some red lip gloss and managed to make herself look like a slasher victim. We cleaned her up and talked to her about not playing with other people's make-up and that we would get her her own make-up. So today we went to Libby Lu's and she had a make-over. She is quite proud of her fingernails which have blue polish on them. She let them put make-up on her face but would not let them play with her hair. Fast forward to this evening where she got into her make-up and did a makeover for herself making herself look like a zombie or leper depending on how the pictures turned out. I can't get too upset since we did inform her that it was HER make-up and she didn't get into any of Ariel's so it just looks funny. Looking at her face I can only wonder if down the road she is going to follow in Mommy's footsteps and play around with special effects make-up. From what I saw today I think she would do a good job.

I am grateful for little amusements.

Lucien LOVES chewing on his claws. Freaks me out though, because he makes this unholy guttural noise while he does it.

Aww!

I think most cats chew their nails like that from time to time.

YES! I saw NBC 3-D! It definitely helps to have seen it in 2-D first so that you can spend more time looking at all the background stuff in the 3-D version. We saw all kinds of new stuff this go-round. :oD

mine do, even when i haven't just put soft claws on them - they chew them to try to get them off right after i put them on, then they give up after ten minutes. but they chewed their nails before i even started using soft claws. i've also had dogs that chewed their nails.

re: cat-nail-chewing

I watched on some documentary on some late night some time ago that cat claws come in layers; they have to occasionally pull off the old "shell" and let new claw surface. It explained why the heck I kept finding hollow cat claws around the house during the monthly sweep-under-the-couch.

It really is weird, though...
