Not enough time to really get back into the novel since Caroline and I have an appointment today. So some random thoughts as the coffee kicks in are in order I think.

Caroline did get her toys back yesterday and she was very happy about it as were we. We don't like taking her toys away but with her it does prove a point to her.

She has been putting together her 24 piece puzzles with much ease so when I saw a 48 piece puzzle by the Melissa and Dave company I got it. It is a dinosaur puzzle and not easy to put together. You really have to look at the pieces and match stuff up. First time she did it with a little help and it took her about 20 minutes. First time she did it on her own about half an hour. Now she has it together in a little under 10 without distractions. She loves puzzles. She has put this one together and taken it apart at least 15 times in the past two days since she got it.

Peter is working very hard on various projects. He has most of the rest of the month sorted out and probably the year. Now let's see if we can get paid for turning in a novel after Thanksgiving. I find for the most part trying to get a check cut for an author from the week before Thanksgiving until the week after New Years is pretty impossible. Signatures you need are off on vacation and once you get those the person in accounting who cuts your departments checks is out until the New Year. I use to do a little bit of stealth paying this time of year to make sure that my authors were taken care of.

I did get my word count done yesterday much to my surprise. I know what I want to write out today but it will have to happen in between some errands and other things that need to be done today. Which is what I need to get started on now.

I am grateful for more complex puzzles for Caroline.

How old is Caroline? Graham (just turned three) is starting to get interested in puzzles and I'm so excited.

Smart inquisitive kid you got there.

It seems like she's visual rather than tactile or audio. Is that correct?

She is a little bit of all but visual seems to be her strong suit. Audio can be difficult because she HATES loud and what she thinks is loud is not necessary loud to a normal human.

Ethan's a big puzzle-freak too. We stayed home Monday to get over his cold, and he insisted on trotting out the *300* piece puzzle he found. Managed to build about 20% of it before we gave up.

I think Santa's bringing us some nice 100-piece puzzles this Christmas...

Of course, right now he's holding up Pokemon cards and asking me if I've ever seen anything so beautiful?

Yep. We're all in trouble.
