Rats. Not a word have I written this morning on the novel. I have been deal with various little things I need to get done and want to get done. Peter also being the sweet loving wonderful husband that he is (Have I mentioned recently how much I love him?) let me sleep in and took care of the girls this morning so I got up a bit later than I have been which was really nice.

Now Peter had taken Caroline off to the gym so I have some time to run around and get some errands done. Then I am going to sit down and write those pesky 1667 words I need to write today to keep up with my novel. I have this sinking feeling that if I don't keep up I won't be catching up.

Question for the group (including the people who don't usually pipe up too) Why do you read this blog? (Immediate Family is exempt from this question because I know why you read it.)

I am grateful for my husband's kindness to me and others.

Well, my answer is similar to that of immediate family. *grin* You're my buddy!

In a very weird Science Fiction convention way you are practically family.

I read it because I think you're an incredibly interesting, insightful, sweet person and I enjoy you very much.

Ditto.

And I love reading about, "The Adventures of Caroline's Mommy!"

That's a saga in itself but a lot of fun to participate in. *grin*

I'm still catching up on your blog since I think I found you or you found me during one of the recent friending frenzys. I like what I have read so far.

Thank you. I some times worry that I am just writing stuff that is intersting to me alone. I like your blog too.

I read this blog because you are a genuine person. People like you are a rare breed on LJ, and when I see your entry crop up, I know that I'm going to be reading something that is interesting, honest, and enlightening. You give us a window into your life through your LJ--we see your children grow up, your husband's success, and your steadfast support of your family through every moment. I know you don't post everything in here--who does? But, every moment you share with us is a blessing and an escape to better times.

Thank you very much. I really do appreciate your kind words.

Maybe it was because I am a book editor but I feel I can only write the truth as I see it. If I try anyway else it doesn't ring true.

I read because I'm nosy, and I like to keep up with other people's craft and costumey stuff, because seeing other people's creative works makes me happy :D

Well I like keeping up with your craft and costumey stuff too. I do like this aspect of the Internet that I can see the work of people I would probably have never seen as well as learn how to do things without having to re-invent the wheel myself.

Most of the reasons I read any journal is because of keeping track of people I know in whatever capacity. It's not a total, exact science, but it works out pretty well in some cases.

I agree. It is nice to get to know the people beyond the conventions.

I'm intrigued by your craft, I'm attracted by the personality you exhibit in your writing, and I like reading what you write about, and how you write about it.

Thank you. I have been working on my ability to write coherantly (which doesn't happen all the time) and to tell short stories.

Because I want to know what you're up to and LJ (frighteningly) is the best way to keep in touch nowadays. ;-)

BTW, Tabitha has announced that she wants to study to be a puppeteer (as opposed to stage production). Where should she study? Specifically, she says she wants to make and run puppets like "Hoggle".

Don't I know it. I think I know more about what you and Mike are up to now that I have in the past couple of years.

Does Tabitha want to learn to build or operate? Hoggle was a lot of electronics and servos but it was run by a bunch of puppeteers who had nothing to do with the build although the ability to be both builder and operator is becoming more common, you still sort of have to choose.

I think ultimately she most wants to operate and will be happier with the ability to design as a secondary skill. Could be wrong about that, though, since she's currently very excited about hand and rod puppets.

Of course-- and you'll find this particulary amusing-- she's also getting all dreamy about making a marionette. So she's all over the place.

I find you, and your posts, incredibly interesting. As others have said before me, you're the real deal. Add to that some of the things we have in common (Doctor Who and Mommyhood being only two of them) and it's no wonder that I look forward to your posts. :)

Thank you. I can't remember who had the friending frenzy that put a bunch of mommys and daddys of younger folk on my blog but I am glad they did.

I'm not sure if we all came through the same place, but I came your way through popfiend - all because Gary (clauderainsrm) knew that I was a big fan of Peter's writing and he's big on connections. (That said, I actually met you, Peter and the girls very briefly at PhilCon 2004, I think it was. I remember thinking, "Wow. Peter's lucky to have such a supportive wife!" :D)

Um, because I enjoy reading what you have to say, and I like to keep up with what you're up to.

Yep, that'd be it. :)
